Today, on Day 25 of 29 Days of Thankfulness, I'm thankful for the fact that I survived getting my permanent crown put on this afternoon. That may sound funny to you, but I was in pain going into the dentist today. And though he still thinks that I don't need a root canal and that the temporary was just placed poorly, all of that pain made for a bad experience today. Plus, I'm a dummy, and thought I could make it without Novacain. Let me just say again, I'm a dummy. I did indeed survive, obviously, but there was a whole lot of hurting going on, and I let the dentist know by letting out loud exclamations that went like this, "OHHHHHHHHHHHHHH", followed by, "OOOOOHHHHHHH,", etc., and holding on to my legs very, very tightly. Yeah, never again will I try to handle the pain without drugs. So, I'm thankful that today is over, and am now praying that they got this one properly placed, and that I truly don't need a root canal. I will be soooo thankful if I don't have to see the dentist again for a very long time!
