Today, on Day 7, I'm thankful for the transformative power of paint. When I got back from Ukraine and realized that it was going to be a while before I could afford to have my own place again, it was important for me to still feel like I had a little place of my own. And so I started painting my old bedroom in my parents' home. And the painting kind of took a while, like, oh, say, 10 months. =-D But I really like the outcome, and I enjoy having a space that feels like me. At some point soon, Lord willing, I'll actually have a place of my own again, but I'm thankful for what I have right now, and for this feeling of home.
