Day 16, Running

Today, on Day 16, I did something I thought I would never do. I ran a 5k. I didn't walk it- I actually ran it. I didn't stop. I ran the whole thing. Now, while this isn't the first time I've run that distance(I've been doing it for about 2-3 wks. now), it was my first "event" run. And you know what? I really enjoyed it!! I wasn't the fastest, but neither was I the slowest. Lots of people passed me, and I passed lots of people. For me, it's not about my time per mile or my pace. It's just about the fact that I'm doing it! And I'm not hating it. =-) It felt good, and was fairly easy, and I enjoyed it. So today, I'm thankful for a body that now runs. 8k Thanksgiving Morning!
