Day 3 of a Week of Thanksgiving: today I am thankful for the IM Seaside Missionary Training Center and the classes that I've had the privilege of getting to know. I'm thankful for the lives of these young people(many of whom are from unsaved families) and their dedication to serving their Lord. I'm thankful for the friendships that have grown out of much time spent together. I'm thankful that my relationship with so many of them continues to grow. I'm thankful that this year I've had the opportunity to visit eight of them. I saw their hometowns and churches in Ukraine, Poland and Romania and met their families and those with whom they're serving. It was a joy to serve alongside of them at camps and in other ministries and to see their continued growth in their relationship with God. I'm so thankful for each and every one of them!
SMTC class of 2009, in Yalta, after the evangelism course
SMTC class of 2010(with a friend from Nigeria, as well) over for Thanksgiving
Sweet Edzia and Sylwia, class of 2010. I was so thankful to spend a week with them in their town this summer in Poland
Szymon and Vali, class of 2010- my "adopted" little brothers. I'm also very thankful to have been able to do camp with Szymon this summer in Poland and then to see his hometown and to spend a weekend with Vali in Romania this Fall seeing his current ministry.
SMTS Class of 2011. I haven't had as much time with this class because of all of my travels and a change in policy regarding guests in classes, but I've tried to make it a priority to schedule meetings with them and do other special things with them. The girl's tea this last week was lots of fun and I'm looking forward to the annual Thanksgiving dinner with them this coming week!
