A Week of Thanksgiving: Day 2. Today I am thankful for the group, Adventures in Missions, and the World Racers that they send out. The World Race is an 11 month trip to 11 different countries, exposing young people(19-35) to different missions that are going on all over the world. I'm not exactly sure what their statistics are, but many of the ones that I've met over the last two and a half years have gone back to the States and then transitioned into full-time missions or other types of ministry. I've heard differing views on whether the experience is worthwhile, or whether they're just wandering around for eleven months without a ministry goal of any kind. I may not completely agree with everything the organization does, but I disagree with the idea that they're just a bunch of young people on a great adventure without any real point to it. I've seen God doing great things in the lives of these young people and have been tremendously blessed by the lives that have intersected mine. There are two groups in particular for which I'm very thankful. They invested in me over and over again during their short time here and spent countless hours encouraging me. So, today I am thankful for Dan, Brittany, Ashley, Andrea, Nathan, Jared, Samara, Laura, Gina and Taylor. I'm even going to see some of them when I get back to the States!
