Thurs., 6/3, Baden, Austria- in the park

The Buchholz's house is at the top of a park that was built on what I would call a foothill, I guess. It's much bigger and steeper than a hill, but not a mountain. You can walk out of their yard and down through the park into the old town center of Baden. This is a view from about 3/4ths of the way up, looking down over the center of the city.

I just like this picture.

This is down at the bottom of the park. They cover this statue with a glass dome in the winter to protect it from cracking.

This is a statue of Strauss and someone else, but I forgot who.

The beautiful Beethoven temple.

This is a statue of one of the Emperors of the Hapsburg empire. Baden is in a thermal region of Austria, so there are many underground hot springs, which makes it incredibly lush and green everywhere- so beautiful.
