6/9- Final day in Austria

My final day in Austria was simply a day of relaxation. I spent the morning reading and writing in the park and then walked down into the center of town for a while in the afternoon.

I enjoyed a delicious Kasekreiner(I don't have the right letters on my keyboard to spell it correctly) for lunch. It is just a bratwurst with cheese inside, served with a little curry on top and mustard and a roll on the side. It's a rather wonderful combination. The funny thing was that the Buchholzs knew that I had been wanting to try one and without telling me, had decided to grill them for dinner that same night. I couldn't bring myself to tell them that I had just had it and it was just as good the second time around. =-)

The little farmer's market where I had lunch. It was me and a bunch of Austrian men sitting there with their beer, chatting the afternoon away.

The traditional self-portrait.

Pre-dinner ice cream floats and birthday cake. They eat and stay up super late, so we had another birthday celebration at 7pm and then ended up grilling around 9pm.

Chris and Siegfried. I'm convinced that they should adopt me. Adult adoption is a possibility, right?

The wonderfully relaxing home of the Buchholzs. I needed a restful, quiet place and that's exactly what this was. I spent every morning outside in the quiet of nature, afternoons walking in the park, little bits of time here and there reading on the balcony or in the upstairs library. I could go on and on telling you of the ways that I was blessed by my time there, but let me just say that it was exactly what I needed and more than I could have possibly asked for. God is so good and knows exactly what we need!
