Some of you faithful readers may recall a funny story from two years ago when I was traveling in Ukraine. I got on the train in the middle of the night in Lvov, heading back to Odessa. Upon waking, I found myself in a compartment with two guys from Algiers. They saw me reading the Bible in English and offered to help me if I didn't understand anything. We got a good laugh when I explained to them that English is my first language.
Fast forward two years to today at 6:15am. I got on a bus to take an IM colleague to the bus station. A few minutes later, a young guy taps me on the shoulder and asks if I know him. I didn't. He asks if I remember him. Nope. Then he says, "Do you remember meeting two guys from Algiers on the train two years ago?" Yes, I did.. It is one of those same guys, now working in Odessa and living just a few minutes away from me. Two years ago, neither of us lived in Ukraine and now we both live in the same neighborhood. Crazy. It is indeed a small world after all.

Wow! That's wild! Did you have a minute to talk? Does he know what you are doing there? How interesting that you all would run into each other again! I will pray that the Lord could use this in some way! Love you, Mom
Yes, we talked for about 10 minutes. Yeah, I was thinking that it would be neat if he could get hooked up with our guys for their next "guy's night." He seems to be a little lonely and def. having some culture shock(says they're animals, doesn't have respect for them, etc.). We didn't exchange ph. numbers, but he has my e-mail from 2 yrs. ago, so I'm hoping he'll e-mail me.
