Now that the holidays are over, things are much quieter here. Nonetheless, this has been a great week for me. I was really needing some time to spend alone with God to think and pray about the last year and a half in Odessa. This week I took the opportunity to stay home and really concentrate on my relationship with Him; it was a really joyful and renewing time for me and I'm very thankful for it.
Event of the Week:
Varsity Ice Skating. Actually, the most eventful part of it was my spinning and doing a face- plant on the ice. Other than having a swollen, purple eye and a throbbing head today, I seem to be fine. And yes, Kristie knew I was going to post this on here. =-)
Colors of the Week:
The beauty of freshly juiced fruits & veggies. I've been juicing this week(love my juicer!). This beautiful drink contains: 1 apple, some pineapple, 2 c. spinach, a handful of broccoli, a c. of mixed berries and three carrots. And believe it or not, it's delicious! It's not quite as pretty after you stir it up, though.
Discovery of the Week:
The Snake Plant(Sansevieria Trifasciata) in flower! While the rest of you may have known this, I had no idea that the Snake Plant produced stems with flowers. I've grown up with them in the house and owned this actual plant for about 5-6 years and have never seen them flower before. What a nice discovery!
