Since I've not felt well since returning to Odessa on Wed. and have slept very poorly, I'm going to make this a very brief update and try to get to bed early tonight. I'll post individual updates over the next few days on the trips to Krasnoarmeysk and Dneprorudni.
Weather of the week: the warm weather has finally arrived and the average temps here in Odessa have been about 80F as a high and 60F for a low. It was considerably warmer on the eastern side of the country.
Activities of the week: dacha day with Will, Phyllis and the kids; train ride back to Odessa; the Last Bell ceremony; going to Nuriyev Forever with my roommates(one is moving back to the States in two weeks, so we went one last time together) and helping out at English Club today.
Book in my hands: "The Spirit-Wrestlers", by Phillip Marsden. An absolutely fascinating read of the author's travels across post-Soviet Russia, Georgia and Armenia in search of practioners of some ancient religions: Doukhobors, Molokons, etc. I couldn't put it down until I was done with it and want my own copy now. Highly recommended!!
Music in my ears: "I and Love and You", by the Avett Brothers
