Sat. Evening Post- 4/30

Weather of the week: Fantastic! Everyday was sunny with a high of about 70F. This afternoon as I was down at the sea, it began to rain- the first time it has rained since I returned in March.

Tramvai, a cable car form of transportation here. Half the price of buses, it's a super cheap(12 cents per way) but slower way of getting around.

This place opened up across the street from us recently and I laugh every time I see it. Because we do have so many street dogs here in Odessa and also because it's kind of a joke that the main source of meat from the street vendors is dog, it's pretty amusing to see a place called, "Street Doggie Dogs Cafe."

First Spring grass cutting. Can you imagine cutting all of your grass with a weed wacker?

Animal of the Week: I feel rather disloyal to all of the great dogs out there, but this week I saw so many cats that I felt the need to share. Due to the fact that there were so many wild dog packs at my old apartment, there were no cats(because they were eaten by the dogs). As far as I can tell, however, at this apartment, there's only one pack and it lives across the street and rarely crosses over. Therefore, there are LOTS of cats that live in and under and around my apt. building. Lots and lots. Some are old, some are younger, some are little kittens.

I saw this one way up on a wall on my walk down to the beach today.

Beautiful nature of the Week:

Sometimes I forget that I live just a short bus ride from the Black Sea. Today I took my bible and journal with me and had my quiet time in this peaceful setting. So nice.
