I was just in my kitchen and for some reason noticed a piece of paper taped to one of the cabinets. Have you ever walked by something so many times that you forget it is there? I guess I'd gotten to that point with this piece of paper. But the thing is, I originally put it there for a reason: to remind myself on a daily basis of the importance of what was printed on it. So I stopped and read it again, complete with the emphasis that had been placed on certain words:
Incline your ear and hear the words of the wise,
And apply your heart to my knowledge;
For it is a pleasant thing if you keep them within you;
Let them all be fixed upon your lips,
So that your trust may be in the LORD;
I have instructed you today, even you.
Have I not written to you excellent things of counsels and knowledge,
That I may make you know the certainty of the words of truth,
That you may answer words of truth to those who send to you?
Proverbs 22:17-21
