Map of Ukraine

Ok, so I'm not quite sure how to get the image on here yet, but if you click on the title, "Map of Ukraine," you will be able to view a map. I will be living in Odessa, which is located down South, in the very middle of the country. My brother's family lives in the Zaporizhya region, Northeast of Odessa. If you follow the river up from Odessa, you'll see the capital city of their region, also called Zaporizhya. It takes about sixteen hours by train to get from one city to the other. So, I won't be very close to them, but it will be much closer than I am now!

well, y'know, a leeeetle distance is preferable, of course! =)

then again, 17 hrs on the train is a bit of perebor, if you ask me, but thenagain, people do say that there are buses that might make the trip more quicklike.

ugh, buses. I'd rather take the train. I'm not saying I'm going to be there every weekend. hmmmm, perhaps every other would work? =-)

That's a killer weekend trip, Anna! There are how many hours in a weekend? 48? Minus the 17 hours to get here and the 16 to get back. . . that's 33 hours of travel for a 15-hour visit! I agree that trains are better than buses, though.

Here’’s a link to a map that shows where we are. You probably have to zoom out and to the west to see Odessa.

ok, so it's an extended weekend trip. You're right. I wasn't really thinking of trying to do it in two days. I'm not that desperate. =-)
