Home is Wherever I'm with You

In the last two plus years I've been in and out of Ukraine, the US, Pridnestrovie, Poland, Austria, Slovakia, Romania and Hungary- and most of them multiple times. In the last six months I've been in five of those countries. My home base has been Odessa, but I haven't been "home" much. I've learned that sometimes I long to be home in the US, sometimes I long to be home in my apartment in Ukraine, but most of the time, I just want to be home- in a place where I can relax and unwind from much of the craziness that goes on around me and the craziness of the travel schedule that I've had this year.

As some of you know, home is about to change for me again. In December I'll be moving back to the States for a while, to get some debriefing and training on how to debrief others, to spend time with my mentor from Barnabas International, to take some time to rest and spend quiet time with my family and friends after a hectic year, and to prayerfully make a big decision about my future. I've been asked to consider moving to Warsaw, Poland, to serve in staff care from there. It's a better location for all of my travels, plus we have a lot of people within our organization who travel in and out of there who I could host. There are some other serious variables that might end up with me in a different location and even serving from the US. Right now I don't know the answers to where I will be even in six months. But I know and trust that this is in God's hands and am ready to step out in faith to see what He has planned.

I would so appreciate your prayers for me as I organize and pack, say goodbyes and attempt to process all that I have experienced here. I still have a lot of traveling left to do before December, which leaves me with very little time in Odessa. I leave this Wednesday for Slovakia and Romania and will be there through the end of October. I'll return for a week, or so, before heading out again to E. Ukraine. Your prayers for my stamina, health, joy, and ability to encourage while in the midst of a stressful time are so appreciated. Please don't hesitate to e-mail me with any questions that you have about this transition. There are, of course, more details to this than what I've written here, and I would be glad to share them with you. Thank you so much for your love and support!
