Ballet of the week: Nureyev Forever. Sunday night I went to the ballet again with my roommates and another friend, Godwin. It was a multi-media presentation of Rudolf Nureyev's most famous roles and choreography, ranging from stunningly beautiful classical ballet partnering to contemporary ballet and modern solos. There were films of his performances and large scale photography of his work, as well as a very gifted pianist onstage and of course, the orchestra in the pit. Out of the three shows I've seen at the Opera House, this was definitely my favorite. Well worth the $3 ticket price. =-)
Newly discovered food item: I have always been fond of Twix, but after trying the new Coffee flavored Twix, I'll never return to the original. It's still a Twix, but not quite as sweet and with a slight coffee flavor: just right.
New favorite scarf: I went into the center this week to meet one of the female students from last year's training center class and did some shopping for Christmas presents, etc. to take home with me. There are some really beautiful and affordable scarves here and of course, I ended up with something for myself.
