Mon.- Still a lot of snow and everything is frozen

Tues.- a fairly unusual evening sky, since it's usually foggy and gray.

Wed.- Christmas bushes are here! They are rather strangely shaped, though. Even the ones that look like trees are super sparse.

A "tree"

Thurs.- beautiful crystal glasses that were sent to me from Russia several years ago

Christmas Eve dinner with two girls I disciple. We had some traditional Ukrainian cold salads and chicken pot pie(take a guess who made that). =-)

Kootyah-a traditional Christmas Eve dish-wheat kernels with a sauce poured over it. The sauce is a water and honey broth with poppy seeds, walnuts and raisins in it.

Sleepover: Masha and Lyera spent the night

Did you make the wheat stuff? Wrong day, but very traditional! It was new to me last year. Every village house that we went caroling at had a bowl of it out on the table.
I should have thought to warn you about your long-awaited trees! :-) They're always very scrawny.
No, I didn't make it. Masha made it because it is a Ukrainian traditional Christmas Eve dish, so she made it for our Christmas Eve dinner & told me all about having it when going for caroling. =-)
